Passover Seder
Why did God command the Jews to celebrate Passover every year? What does it mean to Christians?
Our Messanic Passover Seder will answer these questions and more. Bob and Lora will guide your group in preparing a Passover meal and program, even providing the matzah tosh if you want! Then they will be your group's "papa" and "mama" as they lead your Seder in the Jewish tradition, complete with Hebrew prayers.
This teaching Seder follows the traditional Jewish observances, but adds additional readings from the New Testament and elaborates on Messianic prophecies found in Isaiah. The Seder uses a Haggadah developed by Biblical Women which is based on the Ashkenazic (northern Europe) Jewish customs.
The Seder is a way to connect with the heritage of Christianity and understand how the practicies of Biblical times are still relevant to Christianity today. You'll leave the Seder with a new understanding of Christ's presence in the Passover. You'll see God's picture of Christ in this ancient celebration and understand why Christians believe the prophecy of the Seder has been fulfilled as you experience it yourself!
